Agency History

The Alzheimer's Association, Quincy Area Branch, is the premier source of information and support for Alzheimer's families and those with memory-loss disorders.

In the mid 1980s, a group of Peoria area families and health professionals collaborated to provide resources for people dealing with Alzheimer's disease. The Central Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association became affiliated with the National Alzheimer's Association in 1987. In 1999, with the assistance and interest of Quincy community members, the Central Illinois Chapter opened a branch office in Quincy, Illinois.
