Opened in 1972, Wolf Creek State Park lies on the shores of Lake Shelbyville and covers more than 500 acres. Fishing at Lake Shelbyville yields bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, muskie, and walleye.
Horseback riders enjoy 15 miles of equestrian trails and may use the equestrian campgrounds at Wolf Creek. Boating, camping, hiking, picnicking, and swimming are among the popular recreational activities at the park.
