Weinberg-King State Fish & Wildlife Area was established in 1968 when a 500-acre tract of land was given to the State of Illinois. This park, in rural Schuyler County, has grown to encompass 772 acres. Bass, bluegill, and catfish are found in the park’s three ponds and Williams Creek.
Weinberg-King is a wonderful daytrip for horseback riders. There are nearly 30 miles of equestrian trails that run throughout the park. Other recreational activities include camping, hunting, picnicking, and wildlife observation.
