Siloam Springs State Park was dedicated in 1956 but its history dates back to the 19th century when the springs were the centerpiece for a popular resort. In 1940, Siloam Springs became a state recreation area. Fifteen years later, a 58-acre lake was created. Today, the lake has six fishing piers that provide anglers with access to the lake’s bountiful population of bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, rainbow trout, redear, and sunfish.
There are 23 miles of equestrian trails as well as equestrian campground facilities at Siloam Springs. Hiking trails cover more than 12 miles of the park’s 3,323 acres. Other recreational activities at the park include camping, canoeing, hunting, picnicking, and wildlife observation.
