Randolph County State Recreation Area

Randolph County State Recreation Area covers more than 1,100 acres in rural Randolph County. This park’s 65-acre lake was created in 1961. It has been stocked with bass, bluegill, catfish, rainbow trout, redear, and sunfish.

Horseback riding trails cover more than 11 miles of scenic park land. Other recreational activities for park guests include camping, hiking, hunting, picnicking, and wildlife observation.

Directions:
From Marion, take Highway 13 west for 20 miles to Murphysboro. Continue west on Highway 149 for 8 miles then go northwest on Highway 3 for 23 miles and follow the signs for Randolph County State Recreation Area.
