Located near the confluence of the Mississippi and Apple Rivers, the Mississippi Palisades State Park is a beautiful 2,500-acre park in scenic Carroll County. The park’s unique geological features helped it to earn its Natural Landmark status given by the Department of the Interior. There are 10 trails that cover 13 miles of the park. Guests can experience the park’s scenic beauty and diversity with a short or long hike. The park provides access to the Mississippi River and anglers are bound to reel in a bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, northern pike, or walleye.
