The Lincoln Home National Historic Site

The Lincoln Home National Historic Site includes four blocks of homes that have been restored to appear as they did in the 1860's when Abraham Lincoln was a resident. The centerpiece of the historic site is the Greek Revival home that the Lincoln family occupied for 17 years. Abraham Lincoln purchased the home in 1844 at a cost of $1,200 and three of the four Lincoln children were born there. Visitors who take the free Lincoln Home Tour learn about Lincoln, his family, and their home from National Park Service guides.
