Dixon Springs State Park covers more than 800 acres in beautiful Pope County. The park is situated on a giant block of stone and provides several unique stone formations throughout the park. Also unique to the park are the seven springs scattered about the park grounds. The springs were a regional attraction during the 19th century. A health spa was established and people came from all over to reap the benefits of the mineral enriched water found in the springs.
Today, guests can hike through the park, enjoy the natural beauty, and visit the springs. Other activities include picnicking, camping, hunting, and swimming. The park offers a swimming pool complete with a water slide and concessions.
