Delabar State Park

In 1959, two brothers, Roy and Jack Delabar donated 89 acres of land to the State of Illinois. The following year Delabar State Park was established and has served as a recreational outlet for Illinois residents ever since.

The park borders the Mississippi River and offers a beautiful natural habitat that is perfect for wildlife observation. More than 50 bird species can be spotted at Delabar State Park. Park guests enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, and picnicking.
