With more than 9,300 acres of Mother Nature, Clinton Lake State Recreation Area has a great deal to offer its guests. Clinton Lake, a 4,900-acre reservoir, plays hosts to a wide variety of water sports such as canoeing, boating, sailing, water skiing, and swimming at its white sand beach. Fishing is another popular activity. Whether it’s pier, bank, or boat fishing, anglers will most likely get their limit of bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, or walleye at Clinton Lake.
There are three hiking trails as well as a 10-mile equestrian trail running through the park. The 40-acre prairie is another highlight of this park. Other activities include camping, hunting, picnicking, and wildlife observation.
