1673 is a nice Queen Anne home with medieval rather than classical detailing. The house is massed similar to a Queen Anne in that it has one large projecting gable end with a lower crossing gable towards the back. The roof on the house has exposed rafter eaves and no soffits, a detail associated with the Tudor revival.
The house is constructed of red brick and has alternating color patterns adding to the Gothic feel of the house. The front porch of the house is detailed with shallow Gothic arches built of wood and painted. In the very top of the Gable are more influences of the Gothic in the way it uses a timber frame style of surface expression. This is yet another example of how the Queen Anne house adapted to meet the stylistic needs of the time period in which a house was built.
