300, 304, 308, and 312 South Twelfth Street homes are a set of speculative houses built in a simplified turn of the century Queen Anne style. They were all the same architecturally and have been altered in one way or another over time.

In form, they are a form hip roof with a small hip projection. In the hip roof are two symmetrically placed dormers that denote a third floor. Directly below these dormers are a classical cornice and second floor windows that are vertical in proportion.

The original porch styles for these houses is probably the one seen on the 312 house. But, it is possible that each of the houses had a different porch design in order to differentiate which house is which. Stylistically the houses are quite common in America as the life in suburbia continued to flourish.
