1219

1219 and 1217 Park Place are nearly identical Late Queen Anne houses, both built in 1890. This version of the Queen Anne is perhaps the most popular version of a rather irregular style. This L-shape form has a projecting front gable with aligned first and second floor windows and a small window arrangement on top.

The entry is set back in the corner of the "L". Off axis, this entry is typically defined by a porch which contains a certain level of wood detailing depending on the time and budget of the house.

In 1217 Park Place, the porch has a pediment with ornate wood detail that defines the entry. This is attached to a porch that extends along the back of the L-shape.

In 1219 Park Place, the entry is marked only by a porch that is decorated much simpler than its next door neighbor. Both houses are built of masonry and sit on rusticated stone water tables. The likeness in style, form, and building date suggest that these two homes were probably built by the same builder from a set home plan.
