MoorMan Park is located on a generous eighty acres off North 39th Street. It boasts of more activities than any other park in the city of Quincy. For the family there is playground equipment, a batting cage, and miniature golf. You will also find a concession stand, drinking fountains, restrooms, and shelter houses complete with electricity, grills and ample picnic tables. If you like water, there is a pond for fishing or the newly launched paddle boats. Every year a fishing derby takes place. The view of the pond looking out to the park is breathtaking. For the sports enthusiast there are baseball fields, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, and an archery range. You will also find a one mile long woodchip path around part of the park for the walker or jogger. The only thing missing is swimming and you can find that next door at Wavering Park. Come take it all in. Life doesn't get any better than this. |
