The Spoon River meanders throughout Fulton County and its beautiful small towns. There are more than 140 miles of scenic routes that explore the splendor of the Spoon River Valley. Although Fulton County’s villages and scenic drives can be enjoyed any time of the year, more than 100,000 visitors flock to the Fall Festival held the first two weekends of October. The Festival started in 1968 and has evolved over the years to include not only a tour of the fall foliage, but historic sites, performances, arts & crafts, antiques, flea markets, and plenty of good food while traveling the scenic routes.
