An 80+ year old organization, the only organization representing all Federal/Postal retirees, their spouses, survivor annuitants of these retirees and current federal/postal employees.

NARFE also supports Alzheimer's Research. Nationally, NARFE members have raised over $7 million since 1985, solely for research in finding a cure for Alzheimers. The local chapter has raised approximately $15,000 during this time.

Persons Eligible & Conditions of Eligibility: Any civilian Federal/Postal Retiree, spouse of these retirees, Survivor Annuitants of retirees, and any current Federal/Postal employees (no military). The Chapter Service Officer (a volunteer personnel officer) is available 24 hours a day to assist any of these people (especially regarding death of above). Dues: Special membership dues incentives for current employees. All others need to contact chapter since there are optional dues structures available depending on method used to pay dues (by check, dues withholding, 1-year dues, 2-year dues, 3-year dues, etc.) Chapter dues are $6 per year. Chapter celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2003. Chapter area includes entire 623 ZIP area plus the Macomb/Rushville areas. Membership includes subscription to national publication "Retirement Life" and to monthly Chapter newsletter "Newsline".
