Coordinator: Robin Martin; Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Supported by: John Wood Community College and the Illinois Community College Board. The Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Act of 2006 contains provisions that ensure Perkins funds promote and prepare students for career and technical education.

Perkins Eligibility:

    • Pursuing a non-traditional career for gender

    • Disabilities which impede educational success

    • Economically disadvantaged:
            Family income falls under economic guidelines of Department of Education
            Eligible for participation with WIA or TANF
            Recipient of Pell Grant
            Single parent with custody of minor children

Only one of the bulleted criteria is needed for eligibility.
