Mission Or Objective:
To increase literacy skills in reading and writing as well as improving study skills.

Overview:
The Reading Center, a community outreach program of Quincy University and the division of Education, offers remedial and corrective instruction for area children, Kindergarten through ninth grade who need help with reading, writing, and study skills.

There is one session currently available:
Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

Most tutoring sessions are conducted on a one to one basis.
Tutors are Quincy University students enrolled in the Teacher Education program and/or work study program.

A three week summer program is available in July.

Eligibility:
Students in Kindergarten through ninth grade, usually referred by teachers and/or parents; Fees: Adjustable fee schedule. A child is never refused enrollment for financial reasons; Limitations: There is a waiting list for some sessions.
