Mission Or Objective:
The mission of Lutheran Child and Family Services, in response to Christ's love for all people, is to provide social services to children, individuals, families and communities so that their well-being is improved.

Overview:
Statewide social service agency which provides counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups who are experiencing various concerns in their lives.

Workshops on a variety of topics designed to foster family enrichment are also available.

Services for Families:

Counseling
Offers confidential, clinically trained and credentialed counseling to individuals, couples and families dealing with issues such as behavior problems, marital discord, abuse, addiction, depression and other emotional or relationship problems.

Family Life Education
Positive and preventive approach to addressing some of the major issues affecting today's Christian family. Educators offer information, insight, tips and practical suggestions for families.

Pregnancy Counseling and Adoption
Provides compassionate counseling to expecting parents in a pro-life setting. Counselors help each expecting parent sort out feelings, examine the options, and reach an informed decision concerning the future of the baby. If clients wish to place their child with other parents, staff can arrange for an adoption.

Domestic Violence Counseling
Provides counseling to victims and batterers of domestic violence.

School Based Counseling
Counseling at area schools and day care facilities is provided under specific agreements.

Eligibility: All people with demonstrated needs are eligible for services, regardless of race, religion, or financial means; Fees: Subsidized fee payment ranging from $25.00-$80.00. Costs of services may be covered by insurance payments and/or client fees. Client fees are based on an individual's or family's ability to pay.
