Mission Or Objective:
The Department of Children and Family Services is
the State of Illinois agency mandated to investigate
child abuse and neglect, and to provide necessary,
supportive and preventive services to families.
Overview:
Protection of Children; Homemaker Service; Advocate;
Child Welfare Service.
Provides family counseling, protective services, child
care, foster care, adoption services to families.
Licenses daycare facilities and has information on
licensed facilities (inter-county and interstate child
care licensing services).
Homemaker Advocate Program
Teaches parents about budgeting, nutrition and
homemaking.
Eligibility: Those who need the provided services.
Fees: None - unless Title 20;
Limitations: The Quincy field office serves Adams,
Hancock and Pike Counties.
