Mission Or Objective:
Group works to prevent the victimization and financial powerlessness of senior citizens.

Overview:
The Local AARP Chapter enables National AARP members to look at important needs and opportunities in their own community. Through service activities, chapter members personify AARP in the local community. AARP's motto: "To Serve, Not To Be Served." Chapter has bake sales as fundraisers and also exhibits at Health Fairs. The local chapter offers the AARP Safety Driving Course which allows most participants to receive discounts on their automobile insurance.

Eligibility: Any National AARP member can be a member of the local chapter; Fees: Dues for local Chapter affiliation are $3.00 a year; Limitations: Donate to: Chaddock, Salvation Army, Camp Callahan, and other service organizations on a regular basis. Also collect non-perishable foods.
