Overview:
The Guild is a local chapter of a national association
comprised of professional organists. Organization
is for professional concert or church organists and
those interested in the organ. Meetings consist of
sharing coffee and dessert centered around discussion
and planning sessions for any future workshops.
Members receive The American Organist, a publication
which provides information about organs, organ music,
and service playing.
Every May they sponsor a Sunday Music Series
to make the public more aware of the organ. They
bring in organists from across the country for
organ concerts and sessions if funds are available.
To
be
considered a student, member must be studying with
an organist and a member.
Eligibility: Open to any organists or organist
enthusiasts; Fees: Call for membership fees;
Limitations: Members are primarily from the
tri-state area, but those from outside the area are
welcome.
