- Services are available seven days a week- 24
hours a day, including holidays for Homemakers and
Companions.
- Adams County Adult Day Service is open Monday-
Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ** Currently
accepting evening hours as well.
- Services are supported by Department of Rehabilitation,
West Central Illinois Area on Aging (Community Care
Program), United Way, Long Term Care Insurance,
and Self Pay.
Mission:
The agency was started in 1968 by a group of community
minded citizens who believed this service is needed
in our community. Our goal today and as always is
to provide either long or short-term care to enable
individuals to remain in their homes independently
as opposed to institutionalization. We believe that
once you touch the heart the body heals itself.
Overview:
We are committed to providing assistance and coordinating
services to help individuals maintain independence
in their own homes. We offer homemaker as well as
companions, and the adult day service. Care can be
provided either on a short term, or long term basis.
Homemaker, Companion, Diet Supervision, Personal Care
(bath, oral hygiene, shampoo and skin care), laundry,
shopping for essential needs, transportation, routine
household chores, meal preparation, medication reminder,
and exercise assistance. The Adult Day Service provides
a safe haven for your loved one with activities, a
hot meal, snacks, and exercise regime, as well as
interaction and personal care while you are away.
Respite is also available as needed. Visitors
are always Welcome!!!
Eligibility:
We have no age limit, if we can't provide the service
for you, we will help you find an agency that can.
Fees: Homemaker & Companion - $14.00/hr.; Adult Day
Service - $9.00/hr.; $3.50/meal; $8.50/trip for transportation.
Limitations:
For Homemaker or Companion service, the client must
reside in Adams County. For the Adult Day Service,
anyone can come with one exception. If transportation
is required, the client must reside in Adams County.
If the client can provide their own transportation,
residency is not an issue.
