Mission or Objective:
To prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.  The American Diabetes Association supports research, advocacy, information/awareness, local programs include camps for children with diabetes, diabetes information in schools, workplace wellness and church outreach.

They fund programs to support primary research on diabetes. An annual summer camp for diabetic children is sponsored by the Council. Scholarships for camp are available.

Membership is out of Alexander, West Virginia, and includes a subscription to the magazine, Forecast.

Eligibility: Anyone who is interested in diabetes; Fees: No charge, but can have membership out of Alexander, West Virginia, for $24.00 a year; Limitations: None
